Late Rev. Mr Knight. At the meeting of the Clutha Presbytery this month the following memorial tribute to the late Rev. Thos. Knight late of Evans Flat and Beaumont was adopted: “Presbytery places on record its sincere appreciation of his faithful services to the Church. Mr Knight was born 86 years ago and spent the early years of his life in Banffshire, Scotland. He came to Auckland where, for a number of years, he followed business pursuits. As an elder in those earlier days he gave willingly of his time and service in lay-preach-ing work. In 1904 he joined the Home Mission staff, became ordained in 1913, and was granted fully ministerial status in 1929. He was of a quiet and retiring nature, kindly and sympathetic in his judgments, simple and earnest in his Christian faith. As a pastor and preacher he delighted to expound and exemplify the unsearchable riches of Christ. He Was a sincere, faithful, and hard-1 wording servant of the Church,
