EDISON'S LATEST.

The inventor, Edison, Wt happy tmieas he is able to invent half a dozen things every day. He does it just for amusement, some* times, when his regular business isn't press* ing. The other day, while out for a stroll, he thought of a plan for walking on one leg so rw to rest the other. Lounging into ■ billiard room he was struck with the needless amount of cushion required 'or a table, and jniok as lightning he thought of a better and more economical way—cushion the balls. Edison is perfecting what will be a boon to irinking men. He calls it the toddygraph. Si is a machine so constructed that after a man has taken one drink he can breathe hi it, and afterwards the effects of the drink can be reproduced as many timet as he chooses by applying his lips to a small tube and turning a crank. A man with a toddygraph concealed under hia coat has no excuse fog going out between tne acta when be takes his wife to the theatre. Of course the saloons end the lifquol Dealers' Association will make a bitter nght against Edison's toddygraph, for it is liah'e to break np their business. It will beat hirffj License and prohibition any day in the week, Sundays not accepted. A man can mix his drinks to suit himself, and then stock his toddygraph—it oan be double-barrelled if hi with a supply of beverages suticienS to last a lifetime.
