THE NEW BOUNDARIES.

[From the Star's Pari iamentauy Reporter.] WELLINGTON, August 12. The new Otago electoral boundaries are : Oamaru comprises the Kakanui, Waiareka, and Papakaio ridings of Waitaki County; that portion of Otepopo riding of Waitaki County lying within the existing Waitaki electoral district from Maheno to the western boundary of block 14, Otepopo survey district at the west branch of the Waimakarua River; and that portion of the Inoholme riding of Waitaki County situated in the existing Oamaru electoral district. This district also includes the Borough ef Oamaru. Waibemo comprises the whole of the Counties of Wa'hemo and Maniototo, the Hawkesbury riding of Waikouaiti County, the Moeraki riding of Waitaki County, and the portion of Otepopo riding of Waitaki County in the existing Waihemo electorate, together with the Boroughs of Palmeraton, Naseby, and Hampden.

Chalmers comprises the whole of Waikouaiti County, excepting the Hawkesbury riding; the whole of the Peninsula County, excepting the Anderson Bay district which lies to the west of the line commencing at North-east Harbor, about a mile east of Burnt Point, and proceeding over the hill passing Harbor View, and thence following the western boundary of the Tomahawk road district to the lagoon, and thence along a line to Lawyer Head, together with the Boroughs of Port Chalmers and Hawkesbury and that portion of the Borough of West Harbor situated east of the dividing line between Ravensbourne and Rothesay townships aud east of section of 66, block 9, North Harbor and Blueskin district. Quarantine Island is in this electorate.

The City of Dunedin comprises the City of Dunedin, the Boroughs of North-east Valley and Mornington, together with that portion of the Borough of Roslyn lying south-east of sections 129, 128, 127, 126, 125, 124, 123, 122, 121, 120, 119, 118, 117, 116, and 115, Wakari district, south-east of the original sections 114, 113, 112, HI, 110, 109, 108, 107, 106, 105, and 104, Wakari district; that portion of the Borough of Maori Hill lying south-east of the original sections 14 and 12, block 11, Upper Kaikorai district, block 11, Dunedin and East Taieri district, and of sections 94, 92, 90, 88, 86,84, and 82, Wakari district, and of sections 47, 48, block 5, Dunedin and East Taieri district*!, and of sections 11, 4, 3, and 1, block 8, North Harbor aud Blueskin district, and that portion of the Borough of West Harbor situate west of Rothesay Township aud west of sections 56 to 65 and 2 of 29, block 9, North Harbor and Blueskin district.

Caversham comprises the Boroughs of Caversham, South Dunedin, and St. Kilda, together with that part of Peninsula County embracing most of Anderson Bay district and described as lying on the west of a line starting on the Otago Harbor about one mile east of Burns Point and proceeding over the hill, passing Harbor View and thence on to the western boundary of the Tomahawk road district, along that boundary to the lagoon, and thence down to Lawyer Head. The Taieri comprises the whole of the Taieri County, excepting that portion of Maungatua riding lying south of Lee Stream, and excepting also that portion of Otakia riding situated south-west of the road, start-

ing at the sea coast at the southern boundary of section 9, block 3, Otakia district, and proceeding westerly, passing the following sections: 1 of 12, 2 of 13, 14, and 13, block —, Otakia; 36, 34, 33, 32, 31, 2of 29, lof 29, 2of 28,1 of 26, 25, and 10, block 4, Otakia district; together with the Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island, that portion of the Borough of Roslyn situated north-west of original sections 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Lower Kaikorai district; north-west of original sections 10, 11,12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, block 4, Upper Kaikorai district, and of section 20, block 3, Upper Kaikorai district; and that portion of the Borough of Maori Hill lying north-west of section 13, block 2, Upper Kaikorai district, of section 2 of the said block 2, of section 7, block 7, Upper Kaikorai; of 1, block 10, North Harbor and Blueskin districts; lof 73, 2of 73, 74, and 72, block 11, North Harbor and Blueskin district; and north-west of the southern boundary lines of sections 11, 4, 3, and 1, block 8, North Harbor and Blueskin districts.

Bruce comprises the whole of Bruce County, the riding of Waitahuna, of Tuapeka County, and the riding of Clarkesville, of Clutha County; that part of Maungatua riding of Taieri County southeast of Lee Stream, and that portion of Otakia riding of Taieri County on the southwest side of the road starting at the southern boundary of section 9, block 3, Otakia district; and proceeding westerly, passing the following sections:—l of 13, 2 of 13. 14, and 15, block 3, Otakia district : 37, 34, 33. 31, 2 of 29, 1 of 29, 2 of 28, 2 of 26, 1 of 27, 25, and 20, block 4, Otakia district; together with the Boroughs of Milton and Kaitangata.

Tuapeka comprises all the Tuapeka County, excepting the ridings of Tapanui and Waitahuna, together with the Matakanui, Manuherikia, Earnscleugh, and Dunstan ridings of Vincent County and the Boroughs of Lawrence and Roxburgh and Alexandra. Clutha comprises the whole of the Clutha Countv, less the Clydevale riding, the Tapanui riding of Tuapeka County, the Otaraia road district of Southland County, and that portion of the Knapdale road district of Southland County situated within the existing Clutha electoral district, together with the Boroughs of Balclutha and Tapanui and Clinton town district.
