Raid on Vienna

(British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, March 18. An air communique says that Vienna was attacked on Friday hy heavy bombers of the Strategic Air Force, escorted by long-range fighters. Nearly 1000 persons were killed in the daylight raid on Vienna yesterday, says the Stockholm correspondent of the British United Press. The raid completely surprised the city. Thirty women and children were killed in a rush for the shelters.
