Man Charged With Murder of Wife

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 17. Thomas Phillip Haworth, aged 32, a chrome tanner, of Otahuhu, appeared before Mr. Luxford, S.M., in the Police Court this morning charged with murdering his wife, Patricia Florence Haworth, at Otahuhu, on March 16. Detective-Sergeant Trethewey said accused was arrested yesterday afternoon by two members of the detective force, and he asked for a remand to March 24. Mr. J. Terry, counsel for accused, offered no objection and tho remand was granted.
