BATCHELAE.—On March 13th, 1941, at Wellington, accidentally killed, Robert John, beloved son of Robert Oscar and Doris Batchelar, Utuwai; in his 25th year. Cremated on March 15th, 1944. SMITH.—On March 15th, 1944, at the Palmerston North Hospital, Phoebe Elenor Smith, widow of the late George Frederick Smith (formerly of Foilding); aged 74 years. ■WITHERINGTON.—On March 15th, 1944, at Christchurch, Amy Belle, beloved wife of. Henry Witherington, Richardson's Line, Ohakea; aged 37 years (suddenly). RIEGER. —At Palmerston North, on March 16th, 1944, Laura, beloved wife of George Rieger, 29 Ada Street, Palmerston North, and mother of L. G. Rieger; aged 73 years.
