awapuni track work LIGHT PROGRAMME YESTERDAY There were a number of visiting trainers at Awapuni yesterday morning, including H. Dulieu, B. H. Morris, J. H. .Icfferd and C. P. Shield, but there was not much fast work. C. P. Shield had Pompit out on the tracks and Pompit, walked from Greenmeadows, looked to be none the worse for the five-day trip. Subdued (S. Waddell) was worked over sevon on the course proper where the Hags were wide out. She covered the first half mile smoothly and at a sound pace in 51, but she was not out to make time and she completed ill 1.37 2-5. Nighean (i\J. Aristocrat (V. Sellars) and .1 Climber (W. J. Stevens) were in line at Hie end of a mile on the plough in 1.40 3-5, the last three in 41. Nighean was going easily at the finish. Airlie (Stevens) and Golden Days (Andrews) were in that order at the end of live run in 1.7, and their time was bettered by Lilackwater, who cut the distance out in 1.5 2-5. lntenso (A. S. Ewan) and Sival (S. Waddell) 'were kept to even time over five. Happy Climax (Jenkins) and Stoney Broke (Andrews) were in front of Choral Dance (A. G. Waddell) and Royal Scholar (Rouse) after half a mile in 54 3-5. Hakim (Rouse) and Bendcmeer (Paul) came home in 42 to cover seven in 1.37 1-5. lied Glare (A. Midwood.) and Kanui te Phi (N. Howard) gave a faultless exhibition of fast jumping over three flights of schooling hurdles. Rollicker (I’. Brady) went twice x'ound, jumping cleanly. Glen Urquhart (Andrews) came home easily from the three on the plough in 42. Horses let off with light tasks included Rink, Master Ted, Sunblaze, Broiedame, Tideless, Jonathan Jo, Alethea, Bunsby, Sir Bradbury, Bade Spiral, Broiefield and Rangue d'Or.
