German Anti-Invasion Preparations
SECOND LINE OP DEFENCE IN NORTHERN PRANCE Received Tuesday, 12.10 a.m. LONDON, March 13. The German News Agency reports that General von Rundstedt recently inspected the German Atlantic Wail defences which are nearest to the British invasion ports. He conferred with Air General Christiansen, com-mander-in-chief of the Netherlands: General Reinhardt, commanding the army in the Netherlands; and General von Falkenhausen, com-mander-in-chief of the German forces in Belgium. In Northern Prance, a. second line of defence has been constructed behind the first ready lor any eventualities. The German anti-invasion command has taken into account in its plans all the experiences gained from the Maginot Line right up to the battle for Sebastopol and tho Allied landing at Anzio.
