N.Z. Beaufighter Successes

Received Tuesday, 8.50 p.m. LONDON, March 7. Attacking convoys off the Norwegian and Dutch coasts, New Zealand Beaufighters without loss torpedoed two medium-sized merchant ships and probably torpedoed a third. Flight-Ser-geant C. M. Tapper, of Christchurch, after his attack saw a cloud of whitish smoke enshrouding the ship. FlyingOfficer I. A. Pettitt, of Dunedin, saw his torpedo run straight but did not see tho explosion as ho turned away.
