National War Savings.
Last week National War Havings quotas were obtained at 304 towns, three more than in the preceding week. Seventeen of the IS principal centres 5 were successful and in 17 of the 18 t postal districts the full district quota 3 was achieved. Even in the district in l which complete success was not attained the amount raised was only a compara* \ tively small sum short of the target, j The figures for National War Savings b for Palmerston North on Tuesday, March 7 ; 1944;, were £OS 10s.
