MacDONALD— HOCKING The engagement is announced of Molly, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Hocking, Opiki, and Kod, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. J. MacDonald, Opiki. Mrs. F. Mathias, member of the Manlototo branch, Mid-Otago, was welcomed as a visitor at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Central provincial of the W.D.F.U. held yesterday at Massey College, where she has a daughter, a student. Occupational Therapy Attracting a great deal of interest at the Palmerston North Hospital gala day on Saturday was a stall devoted to a display of occupational therapy. The work was done by returned soldiers and other patients under the guidance of Sister Everett. The Minister of Health (Mr. Nordmeyer) was particularly interested in the work, which is part of the rehabilitation programme. Visit of Vocational Guidance Officer ■Miss C. E. Robinson, M.A., head of the Vocational Guidance work for girls in New Zealand and V.G. officer for girls in Christchurch, is visiting Palmerston North, and will give an address on Vocational Guidance in the Girls’ High School Assembly Hall at S o’clock to-morrow evening to all parents and any others who are interested in vocational guidance work. Admission is free and supper will be served by the prefects. Questions and discussion will be welcomed.
