The 11th annual meeting of the Palmerston North Esperanto Club was held on Thursday, Mr. H. E. Facer presiding. In presenting his report, Mr. Facer stated that, in spite of difficulties created by the war, the club had been able to carry oh its activities regularly. The most important development had been the lifting of restrictions on Esperanto overseas correspondence. Mr. B. Clark, of Makarau, had started the Nova Zelando Rondo, a correspondence club for Esperantists, which had now been extended to include overseas correspondence. Soldiers, who were previously members of Esperanto clubs in New Zealand had formed clubs in Cairo and Italy. The meeting re-elected Mr Facer president, other officers being:— Mrs W. J. Bell (vice-president), Mr. E. S. Andrew (secretary), Miss A. Kerrisoii and Messrs K. Hockley and W. J. Bell (committee). Donations were acknowledged from Messrs King and A. Thomas. .Since the membership of the club had grown considerably, it was decided to form two classes. The Annual Dahlia Show will be held in the Opera House (stage) on YVednesdaj', March 9th. Besides dahlias there are classes for other seasonal flowers. In the dahlia section the Lennox Cup should draw keen competition. The vegetable section should interest many gardeners. Always an attraction the decorative section (adults and children) should receive good support. Exhibitors can help materially by making entries before the morning of the show. Phone 7227,
