Yugoslavs Hold Initiative on All Fronts
Received Friday, 8.40 p.m. LONDON, March 3. Yugoslav partisans after nearly a week of bitter fighting have smashed the German offensive in Slovenia, says the British United Press’s correspondent at Tito’s Headquarters. This victory means that Tito’s armies hold the initiative in every sector of the scat tered Yugoslavian battlefronts. Tito’s forces rallied outside Glina m the lrst lew days after the Germans had driven a wedge into the partisan line ;. The partisans drove the Germans out in house-to-house fighting and recap ared all the lost positions. A Germin airfield 13 miles north of Split has been captured in a raid.
