Chinese Continue Advance

CHUNGKING, Sept. 3. Heavy fighting is proceeding in the outskirts ot Kinhwa, Japanese base in the seaboard province of Cheluang, where the Japanese have brought up reinforcements.

The Chinese have recaptured Lupa, and another Chinese force has advanced to within 15 miles of Canton. Several important towns on the Kiangsi-Anhwei border have been reoccupied by Chinese guerrillas. Many Chinese puppet troops have deserted the Japanese and joined the Chinese Army. At one town alone, BUU puppets revolted and killed their Japanese overlords.

The Chinese military spokesman said that the Japanese were concentrating troops at Hankow.
