Hokowhitu Ladies’ Bowling Club
The Hokowhitu Ladies’ Bowling Club held the annual meeting recently. Mrs A. E. Stephens, president, with whom was associated the secretary, Mrs W. Woodroofe, presiding over a good attendance of members. Sympathy was expressed with the relatives of the late Mrs ‘J. A. Nash, Messrs W. J. Rogers and J. Todd. The balance sheet and president's report indicated that tTve club had had a very busy and successful year, and the committee and members were thanked for their co-operation. The election of officeis and committee resulted as follows:—President, Miss G. Underwood; vice-presidents, Mrs W. Foley, Mrs J. W. Body; secretary-treasurer, Mrs E. W. Drake; committee, Mesdames G. Clapham, A. E. Stephens, A. Stevens, W. Woodroofe and Miss JL. Keats; selectors, Mrs. Woodroofe and Miss Keats. Votes of thanks were passed to the Hokowhitu Men’s Club for the use of greens for competitions, and for the courtesy shown to the ladies at all times, and also to the outgoing president and secretary for their services.
