Manawatu Rugby Union
The committee of tho Manawatv Rugby Union met last nlg'tt, Mr K. W. Eglintort presiding. Congratulations were extended to A.F.V. On winning both the first and second rounds of the senior competition. The Palmer Cup will be presented to them next Saturday. Air Force were given permission to play a match at Wellington on Saturday. Saturday's fixtures are as follow: Army Northern v. Arm/ Central, 3 p.m., Sportsground; curtain-raiser, Army knock-out inter-brlgado championship; Engineers v. Artillery, 1.30 p.m., Rugby Park; Kla Toa v. St. Pat's, third gradt;, 1.30 p.m., Rugby Parle.
