No Change in Tea and Sugar Coupons. The Rationing-Controller announced last night that the surrender value of tea and sugar coupons for September remains unchanged. Cycle Tyre Control Warning A warning that noncompliance with the Bicycle Tyre and Tube Control Notice gazetted on July 23, may lead to heavy penalties has been issued by Hon. D. G. Sullivan. The notice requires a written return from persons possessing any new tyres or tubes under their control or on order if they are not affixed to a pedal bicycle. Sheep-stealing Charge A Kauwhata pig farmer, Lao Martin Biggar, aged 31), appeared in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with stealing 15 sheep at Awahuri on May 27, the property of Alex Gordon-Glassford, and 15 sheep at Fitzherbert on July 28, the property of Thomas Young. He was remanded on police application, to reappear before the Court next Monday.
