A.N.A. Club Activities
The A.N.A. ballroom was again crowded with dancers on Saturday night. The hostesses for the week-end were Mesdames T. H. Pullar, and it. Hewitt and Miss B. Gillies, assisted on Saturday night by Miss I'. Lane, Mrs A. C. Armstrong, Misses E. Bosworth and H. Collinson. Mr J. Hill-Motion was M. and the winners oi c .Monte Carlo dance were W.A. 1 M. Eowntree and Corporal D. McFarlanc. On Sunday assistance was given b dames Jt\ W. Coombs, A. Barraud, M. A. Eliott, N. Sinclair, D. Cook, W. 11. Knight, P. A. Thomson, J. Paul, Miss E. McMillan, Colonel J. H. Whyte and Mr J. Purves. The soft drinks were in the charge of Mrs Hill-Motion on Saturday night and Mrs J. H. Whyte on Sunday; Misses M. Moore and K. Pratt assisted with the coats. Mrs G. A. Eliott had charge of the games on Sunday, and a gift of sandwiches was acknowledged from Miss J. Christiansen. The Girls’ Music Club again contributed to the success of the week-end. Mr J. Selwyu led community singing, and an elocutionary item was given by Mr S. ,T. Parkes. At the clubrooms in Broadway there wero 271 teas and 53 suppers served during tho week-end, when the arrangements were in tho hands of the Palmerston North Technical School Old.Girls’ Association. The hostesses were Mesdames L. Oliver, L. P. Speechley and !.. Wood and they wore assisted bv Mesdames Ellev and Fyfe, Misses. D. and ,T. Berkahn, G. and E. Wattereus, Allan, Clarke, D. liclsbv, M. Lockvcr, J. Bar-
rie, J. Young and C. Vautier. The deco rations were done by Mesdames Nathan and Cook.
