Mrs. Dudley Smita, who as Miss Lorraine Major was widely known in , dancing, judged this section of the Ilawera competitions. In the absence of the president (Mrs. W. B. Cameron), Mrs. C. Eaton presided fat the monthly meeting of the St. Paul's ' Church Guild. Owing to the inclement weather and illness, the attendance was not nearly so large as usual. Members : agreed to take their turn at servicing the s patriotic shop in October and the A.N.A. i club in November. Letters of thanks were received for quilts sent to the ! E.P.S. workroom and for the promise of a box to be filled and held by the guild , for an emergency. It was decided to hold ‘a special social afternoon in September. , Plans for the annual flower show and . fair were discussed. i I «« .. m -
