New York Governorship
NEW YORK, Aug. 25. Mr. Thomas Dewey, former District Attorney for New York City, was nominated for the Governorship of New York State at a Republican convention to-day. The convention also adopted a war platform embodying the principles advocated by Mr. Wendell Willkie, which call fdr a fight to a finish against Hitlerism, and a broad programme of post-war world co3peration.
