Swimming and Cricket DAVE LINDSAY TO GIVE AQUATIC EXHIBITION The Hunter Shield cricket competition will recommence in the Southern Hawke’s Bay district to-day and the Woodvillc team will travel to Dannovirke to play the Danncvirko Club. Tho team is as follows:—E. Beale, J. Beale, P. Miller, O. Miller, W. Shooter, J. Charles, J. Power, G. Conn, P. Buriace, R. Paterson, E. Nicholson, J. Bryson. The Dannevirke wicket, which is kept in perfect condition, should bo responsible for much better performances by the Woodvillc players, who have not yet had a chance to reach top form on their own ground. In tho swimming world it is of interest to note that the Woodvillo Amateur Swimming Club will conduct a sports meeting this evening at the Coronation Baths. Chief interest at this gathering will ccntro round the former New Zealand champion and exOlympic representative, Mr. Dave Lindsay, who will bo swimming in exhibition and competition events. The local swimmers will, no doubt, benefit greatly from Mr. Lindsay’s advice on training and racing methods. A party of swimmers from Palmerston North and Dannevirke will also be competing at this evening’s swimming sports. The handicaps of Woodvillc swimmers for to-night have been declared by Mr. B.
