Winds: Light to moderate and \unable over the Nortii Island, gradually freshening northerlios to north-wester-lies about and south of Cook Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rought south of westport and übout Foveaux Strait; elsewhere slight or moderate. .Eastern Tasman Sea: Light and variable winds and slight seas in the northern portion; fresh to strong northwesterly winds and rough seas in the southern portion. Weather: Fair to fine and warm, but with scattered rain developing tomorrow in tho far south-west and south. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Sun and cloud, light wind. Hamilton: Sunshine, light wind.
