STORIES OF A RUSSIAN THREAT TO AFGHANISTAN DISCOUNTED IN LONDON
(British Official Wireless) (Received 4, 12.45 p.m.) RUGBY, Jan. 3. Official circles attach no credence whatever to rumours given out in certain foreign broadcasts of Russians troop concentrations on the border of Afghanistan. The Afghan Government has officially denied that there has been any mobilisation of its forces. Nothing whatever is known of any mobilisation In Iran (Persia).
