Mrs. J. A. Forsythe is a Palmerston North visitor to Wellington. Miss Vera Burr, of Palmerston North, was a recent visitor to Auckland. Miss M. Rayworth, who spent Christmas with her parents at Stanway, is at present visiting Wellington. Mrs. W. H. Hulse and her three daughters, of Feilding, are holidaying at the Capitol hotel, Otaki Beach. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. McCorkindale, of I Feilding, spent the New Year holidays [ visiting New Plymouth. Mrs. C. S. Williams and children, Broadway Avenue, are holidaying at l’araparaumu Beach. Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Simpson, Reid’s Line, Feilding, together with their three children, are on a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hardie, Fitzlicrbert Avenue, and their family are spending the New Year holidays at Plimmerton. Mr. and Mrs. George Moffitt, East Street, Feilding, have returned home after spending a holiday with relatives in Martinborough. Mr. and Mrs. lan Davidson, of Wanganui, have returned home after spending some timo at their residence in Feilding. After a visit to her mother, Mrs. W. L. Fitzherbert, Broadway, Mrs. Marchbanks has returned to Wellington. She was accompanied by her mother and sister, Mrs. E. W. Mills. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Fitz Gerald, accompanied by Miss Barbara Fitz Gerald, returned to Feilding on Tuesday after spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with their daughter, Mrs. Allan liibby, of Onga Onga, Hawke’s Bay. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mason, Reid’s Line, Feilding, and their son, Mr. Ben Mason, of Wellington, are staying at Waikanae Beach, where Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lawrence, of Feilding, and their children are also spending a holiday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Mclles, of Dannevirke, and their small daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fitzgerald, of Dunedin, and their sister, Miss Joan Harper, also of Dunedin, are spending a holiday at Plimmerton at the seasido residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Harper, of Feilding. Mrs. Tozer, accompanied by her daughter, Miss L. Tozer, of New Plymouth, is spending the Christmas week with her sister, Mrs. W. P. Biekers, Makino, Feilding. Mr. and Mrs. Bickers ’ son, Mr. R. Bickers, who is a member of the Special Force due to leave for overseas shortly, also spent Christmas with his parents. A London correspondent states that at Olantigh, Wye, Kent, on December 7, a daughter was born to Lady Prudence Loudon, wife of Lieutenant F. W. H. Loudon, R.N.V.R. This is their second daughter. Lady Prudence is tho youngest of the four daughters of tho late Admiral of the Fleet Earl Jellicoe and of Countess Jellicoo. Visiting Auckland on a honeymoon trip aro Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Foster, who were married in Sydney on December 16. Mrs. Foster was formerly Miss Thelma Houston, a -well-known mezzocontralto and teacher of singing in Sydney. For some timo she studied at the Sydney Conservatoriuni under Mr. Foster. Mrs. Black, wife of Mr. Richard Black, second in command of the United States Government expedition to the Antarctic, is visiting Dunedin. After the departure of the North Star on its voyage to the Antarctic, Mrs. Black hopes to see some of New Zealand’s scenic attractions before leaving on January 19 for Australia on her way to the United States, where her young son is in the care of relatives in California. Mrs. Black intends to spend most of her time during the 16 months of her husband’s absence in painting, mostly in oils. Sho was formerly fashion illustrator for a largo department store in California.
