PERSONAL

Mr. Stocker Boyd, of Auckland, and Miss A. Boyd left Pahiatua yesterday for the Queen city. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Tattle, of Wakeman Street, have returned home after a motor tour of Taranaki. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wilsher, of Palmerston North, have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Wilsher, HukaMr. E. Wright and Miss I. Hogg, of Dunedin, who have been tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Hogg, Albert Street, Pahiatua, left yesterday for the South Island. Dr. Hugh Paterson left Pahiatua yesterday by car for Auckland, where he is meeting his wife and son, George, who will arrive from England via Sydney to-day. Members of tho Pahiatua Lawn Tennis Club were pleased yesterday to see on the courts Mr. Stocker Boyd, formerly of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand at Pahiatua. Mr. Boyd was very popular during the time he played on the courts. He goes into camp at Ngaruawahia to-morrow and all the members of the club will wish him goodluck in his new sphere and a safe return to the towD.
