LIST or NATIONAL EVENTS The programmes for National Horticultural Week, which will be held in Wellington, commencing on Tuesday, January 30, has been issued. Mr. G. 15. Nicoll, permanent secretary of the organisation, supplies the following summary of the events:—Tuesday, 2.15 p.m.— Official opening of national conferences, and National Centennial Flower Show in the Assembly. Hall, Exhibition building. Tuesday, 7 p.m.—Annual conference of Horticultural Seedsmen’s Association of New Zealand, Dominion Farmers’ Institute building (continuing following day). Wednesday.—Annual conference of (lie New Zealand Horticultural Trades’ Association, opening at 9 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Church Hall, The Terrace, Wellington. Continuation of National Centennial Flower Show. Annual conference of the association of directors of parks and reserves, opening at 9 a.m., probably in a municipal building. Thursday.—Annual conference of the Rpval New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, opening at 30 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Church Hall. Thursday, 8 p.m.—lnstitute’s Banks lecture, by Professor H. B. Kirk, in Dominion Museum lecture hall. Friday- morning.—Annual conference of New Zealand Florists’ Telegraphic Exchange, opening at 9 a.m. in St Andrew’s Church Hall.
