Won by two lengths, half a neck between second and third. Time, 1.104. DENMAN HANDICAP, 14 miles. SEDENUM, 9.4 (Munro) .... 1 Binnia Hero, 8.1 (Darke) .... 2 Old Rowley, 8.10 (Cook) .... 3 Eleven started. Won by half a length each way. Time, 2.5 J. MENTONE RESULTS Received Monday, 7.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 1. Results at the Mentone races' were: SUMMER HANDICAP, 31 miles. MACROB, 7.6 (Ralph) 1 French Legion, 7.T1 (Preston) . 2 Beaustone, 8.5 (Clarton) .... 3 Seven started. Won by a neck, two and a-half lengths between second and third. Time, 2.5. SORRENTO HANDICAP, Six furlongs. CUMULUS, 8.4 (Dewhurst) .. 1 Kerfils, 6.7. (Lechmore) 2 Destiny Bay, 8.9 (Crieighton) . 3 Won by half a neck, two lengths besecond and third. Time, 1.13. The Siegfried gelding National ran a dead-heat in the Talgaruo Welter, sesven furlongs, with Attieus, in 1.25, equalling the course record.
