Brutal Treatment of Poles
EXECUTIONS OCCUR DAILY United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Friday, 8 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 29. Tho special correspondent of the Times in the Polish town of Kaliscz which tho German army destroyed in 1914 because the population refused to submit to German ruJe, is again tho scene of German brutality. Ths largest church has been transformed into a prison and the Gestapo have decreed that Poles and Jews shall receive only half the food rations to which the Germans are entitled. Executions are a daily occurrence. A priest and five landowners were executed in the Market Placo on market d-ay, tho only chargo against them being the possession of arms, which proved to be sporting rifles.
