Lucky Jack to Meet Lawn Derby in Match Race Mr. W. T. Lowe, owner of Lucky Jack, has accepted the challenge of Mr. J. F. Mackenny to race Lawn Derby against any horse in New Zealand for £IOO a side. Mr. Lowe says that Mr. Mackenny can name tho distance, but on the performances shown by the two horses, tho longer the journey, the better it would suit Lucky Jack. Lawn Derby defeated Lucky Jack in a match race over one mile from a flying start at Addington rocently.
