From Our Own Correspondent. Christmas Eve. A delightful evening organised by members of the Women’s Institute was held last Saturday night for the children, most of whom came in fancy dress. Carols and dancing lor tho children filled the programme until 9 o’clock, when Santa C-laus arrived to distribute his gifts. The children next marched in to supper, served by a willing band of ladies. From 9.30 there was dancing for the adults, busie being supplied by Alessrs. G. Aloess, J. Carr, AL Thompson and Alisses A. Thompson, R. Thompson and AL Thompson. The Christmas competitions were drawn and the winners ivere: Knitting bag, Mrs. G. Rose; doll, Aliss Lynda Evans. The Christmas hamper, which was raffled for the swimming bath fund, was won by Air. G. I ancox. Next Alondav. New Year's night, there will be a dance for the local cricket club.
