THE CATHEDRAL, LlSßON—Founded by Alfonso I. in 1150, very little of the original building now remains. It was rebuilt after the earthquake in the 14th century, and much damage was done to it by the earthquake of 1755, hut fortunately the Gothic west front and the choir were unspoiled.
