Fortune From Fish and Chips
Mr. Samuel Isaacs, wealthy So-year-old fish restaurant “king,” died suddenly the other day, at the home of his son-in-law, in London. Mr. Isaacs, director of a company owning 22 restaurants in London and the provinces, made his fortune from fish and chips. Until four years ago he remained in active'control of the business and was still a director of the firm. His career started when his father bought a fish and chip shop in' \ aux-hall-walk, Lambeth. Sam, then IS, fried the fish aud chips himself. Hiss gross takings then were less than £5 a week. Before he was 21 lie opened a larger business. This paid so well that he was able to open three more restaurants and launch a limited com pany.
