Final Leave Concludes The troop train conveying Hawke’s Bay members of the Second N.Z.E.F. back to their various military camps after their final leave passed through Woodville yesterday. The Woodville members of the Second N.Z.E.F. left on this train and they were farewelled on the station. The train was packed with troops, all of whom appeared flt and well after their leave. New Year Dance. The annual New Year dance of the Woodville Foresters’ Lodge will be held in the Foresters' Hall on Saturday evening. In past years, this function has attracted visitors from Dannevirke, Pahiatua, Palmertson North and further afield and this year’s dance promises to prove no exception. Cooler conditions prevailed in Woodville yesterday morning, after overnight rain, but in the afternoon, the sky cleared and the atmosphere became decidedly warmer.
