After residing in Maharahara West for some years, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Cowles left yesterday to live in the Pahiatua district. Mrs. W. A. Adams, of McLean Street, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. W. Adams, leave Woodville tomorrow for Napier, where they will spend a fortnight’s holiday. Rev. G. W. Davidson, Palmerston North, formerly vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Vv oodville, spent Christmas with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. .Davidson, Hopelands. Messrs. P. Burlace, W. Wolfbauer, and B. Christiansen, of Woodville, are on a motor camping tour of the North Island, embracing the Hawke’s Bay, Rotorua and Auckland districts. | Ptc. E. A. Brightwell, 2nd. N.Z.E.F., son of Mr. E. Brightwell, formerly of Woodville and now living in Australia, has been spending his final leave with his aunts, Mrs. A. K. Boyd and Mrs. W. A. Cook, Woodville. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Meredith, of Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. Meredith’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Morgan, Troup Road. Mr. Meredith, it will be recalled, was once a member of tho staff of the Woodville Examiner. It will be of interest to Woodville residents, to learn that Miss Ellen Frances Davidson, whose death, while nursing in the war zone of France, was recently announced by the Under-Secre-tary for War, is a niece of Bev. G. W. Davidson, formerly vicaf of Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, and a cousin of Mr. G. A. Davidson, Hopelands.
