Three New Destroyers For Commonwealth Navy
CONSTRUCTION AT SYDNEY MELBOURNE, Dec. 27. Th: three Tribal class destroyers which the Commonwealth has decided to build will be constructed at Cockatoo Island, Sydney. These ships will be of the latest type that has just been added to the Royal Navy. They are of 1870 tons. The armament is eight 4.7in. guns and four 2lin. torpedo tubes. The total estimated cost is £3,521,000.
