Sad news of the death in France of Aliss Ellen Frances Davidson has been received by cable from tho Undersecretary for War, states a Dunedin message. Miss Davidson, who was the only daughter of Air. and Airs. R. E. Davidson, Dunedin, was a member of the Girl Guides and Tramping Club. In February last she loft for a holiday in Canada and the United States, and shortly before war broke out she arrived in London. Practically on the same day as war was declared she joined up as nurse, for which profession sho had been trained at Queen Alxandra Hospital. Sho was speedily transferred to France. Her death occurred from influenzal pneumonia.
