The weather was fine early but showery later for the opening day of the Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting at Epsom. The track was fast, the attendance was good and the total* isator handled £66,025, as against £73,835 last year, the decrease being £7SO7. The second time round Uenuku was ahead of Icevus and Marlene with Red Flush outside and Uenuku led into the straight.
