Send-off to Members Of Special Force

Hinekoa Rcbekah Lodge held a sendoff recently to five members of tlie Special Force, who are on final leave, these soldiers being sons of members of the lodge—Q.M.S. Ron Scales, Trooper Tims, Signaller F. Lloyd, Private F. Steer, and Gunner D. N. Andrews. An enjoyable evening was spent by the large number present, items being contributed by Mr. G. Dawson, Mr. Garrick, Mr. C. Lloyd and Prince’s Orchestra. After a dainty supper served by members of the lodge, N.G. Sister D. Andrews made a presentation of a Testament to each soldier, each one suitably replying. Tho members of Orient Lodge were present to honour Bro. Ron Scales, a valued member of Orient Lodge. N.G. Bro. Parkcs, after an appropriate speech, made a presenta tion to Bro. Scales, who suitably replied. The evening came to a close with the singing of “ Auhl Lang Sync” and the National Anthem,
