Gentle rubbing with an india-rubber will greatly improve the appearance of white buckskin shoes—indeed, of any shoe. Aprons for kitchen use can bo made from discarded skirts, and useful kitchen towels and dish-washers can be cut from bath towels whose glory as such has departed.
