Marton Bride in Magnolia Satin

ANDERSON—OPENSHAW St. Stephen’s Church, Marton, was beautifully decorated with delphiniums and pink roses for tho wedding of Jocelyn Mary, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Openshaw, and Victor Archibald, only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Anderson, Mastcrtou, which took place on December 10. The Rev. W. R. Raine officiated. The church was full to overflowing with relations and friends of the bride and bridegroom, and as the bride entered on the arm of her father they sang the hymn, “The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden.' 7 The bride looked charming in a beautiful gown of magnolia satin, cut on slimming lines with a long train. Ilcr lovely old veil, which was held in ■ place with a wreath of orange blossom, was of French lace and was the gift of i her great aunt, Miss Fullerton-Smith, Bournemouth, England, and has been in the family for many generations. She carried a sheath of cream roses and water lilies. She was attended by Miss Tui Anderson, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a pretty frock of egg-shell bluo suede crepe and a wreath of real pink and blue flowers in her hair. She carried a sheath of pink, blue and mauve flowers. Tho bridegroom was supported by Mr. John Openshaw, l brother of tho bride. The ushers were I Messrs. Tony Fullerton-Smith and VilIlers Smith. The reception, to which only relation. 1 ? .were invited, was held at the home of ,the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. E. Smith. | The guests, who numbered 65, were rejeeived by Mr. and Mrs. Openshaw, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. Mrs. Openshaw wore a black frock and black hat with pink roses. She carried a bouquet of pink, blue and mauve flowers. Mrs. Anderson’s frock was black with touches of red, and she carried a bouquet of red and autumn-toned flowers. i When Mr. and Mrs. V. Anderson left ! the bride wore a floral frock and navy bluo tailored wool georgette coat, a, small blue hat, navy gloves and bag. The bridegroom, who went into camp at iTrentham with the first echelon, is on his final leave.
