Magnificent Fortitude.
An illustration of the fortitude of the women of Britain in the present conflict, as in the Great War, has been afforded by Mrs. E. C. Kennedy, the widow of Captain Kennedy, who gallantly went down with the Rawalpindi after engaging the Deutschland and another enemy cruiser. When informed of her husband’s death her typical comment was: “-He was only doing his duty.”
