Y ictoria in their second innings have lost three for 99 (Hassett not out 35). In their first innings they made 280. South Australia in their first innings against Queensland declared with seven wickets down for 821, which is a record score for the Adelaide Oval in Shield games (Bradman 138, Waite 137, Badcock 236, YY’hitington 67, P. Ridings not out 44). Cook took two for 129, Dixon two for 142. Queensland in their first innings made 222 (Rogers 49, Tallon 70). Grimxnett took four wickets for 71 and Ward five for 56. Queensland followed on and lost six wickets for 346 (Brown 156, Rogers 50, Baker 52).
