FUHRER SURROUNDED COMPLETELY BY GERMANS’ LOVE Received Monday, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 24. A message from Berlin states tbat tbe Reich had a Christmas broadcast. Included was the description of a visit by Herr Hitler to the Siegfried Line. Herr Hess sent a special message to the nation from a destroyer riding at anchor and General von Brauchitsch from a pillbox in the Siegfriend Line also sent a message to the German people. Herr Hess, in his message, said: “In this hour we send out the strength of our common memories to all Germans abroad who are spending Christmas behind barbed wire in concentration camps or laboriously fighting their way hack to the Fatherland, Our thoughts go to our fighters ou all fronts and our gratiture and love to our leader. He is surrounded completely hy our lovo y but the more we surround him with our love the greater is the hatred of others to us.

“Germany is prepared to sacrifice its present for its future. We greet the Fuhrer as the supreme commander of Germany’s finest soldiers. We can count on God’s help only hy fulfilling our duty and keeping our faith. Only when victory is secure can we talk of peace. ’ *
