Allies Doubling U.S. Plane Orders
WILL GIVE DECISIVE MARGIN OVER GERMANY Received Monday, H. 30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 24. The expected doubling of the AngloFrench purchases of American planes la regarded as giving a decisive margin of production In the race with Germany. Unexpanded industry here is capable of producing 1000 planes a month. The effect of the huge Allied orders puts American designers in direct competition with German craftsmen. Both British and American fighter planes have been proclaimed superior to the newest German types.
