War Materials
BIG CANADIAN PURCHASES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Dec. 21. According to an official announcement from Ottawa, between September 1 and November 21 the Canadian Government placed orders for war material totalling nearly £12,000,000. Of these orders aircraft accounted for £3,000,000, while the other principal items included clothing and equipment, £1,000,000; fuel, £500,000; and construction projects, £2,000,000. In addition, during the same period orders were placed for railway equipment to the value of £5,000,000.
