Nazis Will Continue To Sink Trawlers
LONDON, Dec. 21. In Berlin the authorities to-day vigorously denied that the Germans had sunk innocent Ashing smacks of the British coast. They claimed that the vessels wero equipped with radio. They might possibly do som§ fishing, but mainly served to report the approach of German aircraft and naval vessels. “The British coast,** say the Germans, “is a belligerent area. Germany’s action is justified and will be relentlessly continued.*’ Tho sinking of the trawler Trinity yesterday is not mentioned. Tho German official news agency says that German aeroplanes visited the Shetlands yesterday and attacked six British mine-sweepers, one of which re- I turned to port with two members of the j crew dead.
