New Parking Area at Awapuni

TOR CARS FROM THE SOUTH Thd handling of motor traffic at Awapuni has always been a problem, particularly for the Christmas meeting, but this year, if the weather is fine, cars from the eouth will be accommodated in the new-parking area. This arrangement will, to a certain extent, relieve the congestion near the main gates, for cars from the south will be diverted before they reach the turnoff at Maxwell’s Line. The new parking area is in along the line of the old railway to the course and there will be a traffic inspector at the turn-off to direct motorists where to go. If the weather is wet, however, motorists from the south will proceed to the course along Maxwell’s Line. WESTLAND ACCEPTANCES HOKITIKA, Dec. 22.
