Utuwai
From Our Own Correspondent. The Utuwai School had a beautiful day for their breaking-up. Committee members and their wives with all other parents and friends made a goodly gathering. Master Malcolm McEwen gave out the programme which consisted of songs, dances, recitations and short plays. It was most enjoyable and showed credit on their teacher, Miss I. Callaghan. It took an hour or more to carry out the children's programme, after which all went out to the pretty gardens for the prizegiving and afternoon tea. Mr. McEwen, chairman, presented each child with a suitable prize, the babies and tots receiving a present, too.
