Siddells) presented the badges gained during the last quarter to the boys, also the Patrol Competition Cup to the winning patrol, Moreporks, and a book, "Scouting for Boys,” to Ron Carrad as an award to the most energetic patrolleader during the year. The Mayor congratulated the Scouts on having so firmly established the movement in Pahiatua, and praised the work of the five Scouters, Misses C. and J. Austin and F. Buckingham and Messrs. L. F. Barracloqgh and B. S. Austin. Scoutmaster Barraclough replied on behalf of the Scouts and Scouters. Games occupied the remainder of the evening, followed by supper.
