RESTRICTION ON DISPOSAL OF BUILDING MATERIALS

Restrictions on the disposal of certain factory and building materials without official authority are imposed by a notice published in the Gazette issued last evening. The materials involved are:— (1) Black, galvanised, and steamscrewed and socketed iron or steel pipes or tubes in sizes not exceeding 4in. in internal diameter. (2) Galvanised corrugated iron or steel sheets. (3) Flat sheets of Iron or steel up to Jin. in thickness. No owner within the meaning of the Factory Emergency Regulations and the Building Emergency Regulations is to sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of any of the above materials to any other person, unless an application for them by the latter is approved by an officer authorised by the Minister of Supply to approve such application*, 1
